Michael “Duke” Roe age 43 Roy’s father. Duke was the old quarterback for Centersville High back in his day, and resents his son a little for taking band and drama instead of sports and auto shop. He turns a blind eye to his son’s angst, in a Calvin and Hobbes “it builds good character” kind of way. Duke drives semis for a living, and works a bank job on top of that. As a result, he’s only home 2-3 nights a week, leaving Roy plenty of time to get into trouble. |

Caroline Roe age 42 Roy’s mom. She married Duke right out of high school, and started pumping out babies just as quickly as she could get Duke’s pants off. She’s declared herself a “professional mom and housewife” ever since. She’s been best friends with April Baker as long as anyone can remember, and as such she tends to play peacekeeper between April and Maddie more than she tends to play housewife. Caroline is openly convinced that Roy and Jugs are secretly engaged to be married on Jugs’ eighteenth birthday. She is also certifiably insane. |

Marissa Roe died, age 19 Roy’s older sister, Jugs’ closet confidant, Steve’s ex, and the thread that binds everything together. Rissa is remembered as the town princess, when in reality, she was a spoiled little drama queen as unbalanced as her mother that most people steered a wide berth of. She could throw the meanest punch in the state, and she was proud to let you know it. She had her redeeming qualities though; a shoulder to cry on, a smile that her classmates wrote poems about, and a conscience, even if it was hard to find. |
