Madeleine Wormer age 45 Steve’s mother. Maddie is a stylist and bookkeeper at Pepper’s Beauty Mill. In her youth she was a chunk of spitfire to be reckoned with; these days she’s simply an absolute bitch who loves the sound of her own voice. Since the death of her first husband, Steve and Lisa’s paternal father, she’s been almost as big a doormat as her oldest son. Maddie has a love-hate-bordering-on-abusive relationship with April Baker; she avoids the Roes as much as possible. |

Paul Wormer age 63 Paul is the only father Steve’s ever known, and the town preacher. How a holy man could raise anyone like Steve is beyond the rest of Centersville. He’s a warm old man, if a little distant. He couldn’t dance his way through a squirt gun fight to save anyone’s life. |

Benjamin “Benji the wonderbrat” Wormer age 15 Steve’s little brother and the baby of the family. Benji idolized Steve until the accident, then went off on his own and started seeking troubles even Steve never sought. Currently, he’s the village idiot. |

Lisa Petty age 25 Steve’s older sister. Lisa chose not to take Paul’s last name when their mother remarried and has spent the 18 years since their father’s death defying and denying Paul every chance she gets. She’s a wild card and a live wire and a bit of a gypsy, working in the city as an english teacher and styling hair to make the bills every month. Lisa claims to exist only to ruin Benji’s life and pour heaps of adoration on Steve and their mother. Steve has insisted since he was two that Lisa is his hero. |
